Dear Prospective Students, Members and Alumni,
Thank you for your continued interest in the Finance Club.
The incoming leadership board and I are excited to serve you over
the next academic year. We look forward to building on the recent
successes of the prior year’s board.
The Finance Club has continued to do an outstanding job of preparing
Ross students for recruiting across the various fields of finance.
Despite the challenging economic times, Ross students have been very
successful relative to their peers in obtaining internships and full
time positions amongst the top finance related firms in the world.
The process begins in the early fall semester where the leadership
board begins guiding students through the structured recruiting process.
The Club will meet on a regular basis, provide a personal setting
through a formal individual mentorship program, connect incoming
students with FACT group to meet 2nd year leaders, and provide education
on the various fields of finance. In addition, the Club will arrange
signature-recruiting events including Wall Street Forum and Chicago Forum.
In addition to helping students further develop their “soft” skills,
the Club will also continue to work with outside vendors to ensure our
members have the technical and quantitative skills required in their field.
Training the Street, Ross Professors, and Industry Experts will host several
workshops throughout the year to prepare students for interviews,
summer internships and full-time positions.
I am humbled to serve as president of the Finance Club in the upcoming year
and very much look forward to “paying it forward” and assisting candidates
with achieving their goal of obtaining a career in finance.
Regards,
Tom Tait
